This page explores the role of external information sources on the formation and entrenchment of bubble dynamics. There have been a significant increase information and media outlets, these fundamentally shape they way you view the world; whilst also shielding you from other perspectives. This is the first stage of distortion of information; one that presents itself before the bubble even has a chance to interact with it.
Not only is information itself distorted; but the other groups in question are also distorted in a way that most legitimises the primary bubble. With a distortion of other groups; poor generalisations and stereotypes arise; leading to ad hominem attacks; strawmen, etc.
After the bubble receives its information from their approved sources, they react to it with a set of predetermined convictions. Media that most re-enforces this narrative; isn't heavily scrutinized. This contributes to the breakdown of discussions between bubbles, as there are significant challenges in understanding opposing arguments and realizing flaws in own arguments.
When these groups then interact with one another, they offer completely different perspectives and modes of reasoning. Rather than review their own poor arguments; they focus more on demonising the other side; consensus is maintained this way. We conclude that in order to have meaningful discussion and good arguments, it is imperative to respect other sides, and under their reasoning.
